This time, I do not have adequate words

P1290578-2Chester Bennington has passed away.

Linkin Park has been my favorite band for over 15 years. Reading this news has gutted me.

I have seen Chester perform a total of six times: Five times with Linkin Park and once with Stone Temple Pilots. I was even preparing to see LP again next month in Ohio. I have even had the opportunity to photograph them once.

I just cannot find the words to say to adequately express the sorrow we are all feeling right now. Personally, I feel numb.

But let us remember all of our positive memories of Chester. Let us remember the first time we heard Hybrid Theory, our reaction to Minutes to Midnight, and our interesting view on One More Light.

Let us all use these albums as a way to cope and grieve together.

“When my time comes. Forget the wrong that I’ve done. Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed. And don’t resent me. And when you’re feeling empty. Keep me in your memory. Leave out all the rest”

“Who cares if one more light goes out in the sky of a million stars… well I do.”

Rest in Peace, Chester.
